We hope you and your loved one’s are deep into the holiday sprit, and if not you’ll be there after reading this special invitation.
Please join Weichert Realtors, Hoshaw & Associates in helping those Santa Clarita families in need. We’re currently hosting a local food and book drive, at our Valencia office. Simply drop off books and/or packaged food and we will get them over to our local charitable organization “The Hunger Defense Fund” Tax Id #03-0391642 (all donations are tax deductible). The Hunger Defense Fund is dedicated to reaching out to the needy families among our valley by providing food, clothing, and personal hygiene supplies in the most effective way possible. With overhead costs of only 1%, 99% of donations go toward assisting others in need. It's a simple "Hand Up" that can make a big difference. You don't have to go far to find hungry men, women, and children. Just outside our doors there are people struggling daily to put food on the table. Senior citizens, young families and individuals of all ages are feeling the affects of low income and would graciously accept our assistance.
We have a drop-off center in our office, located at 28009 Smyth Drive in Valencia CA 91355. The Hunger Defense Fund will gladly accept any donations of checks and or food, they are particular in need of the following items: jelly, flour, sugar, salt, masa, Jello, cereal, oatmeal, all canned vegetables (except corn and green beans), canned fruit, evaporated milk, rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, diapers, baby wipes, other personal hygiene items. In addition a supply wish list of scotch tape, hanging letter sized file folders, clear packing tape 2” wide, and 55 gallon trash bags.
Our office will be hosting a holiday open house get together with festivities and cheer on December 16th from 3:00PM-7:00PM. If you’re unable to make it on that day and would still like to make a donation, we’ll be accepting donations at our office until December 18th every weekday from 8:30AM-5:30 PM for your convenience.
